Your home is where you live, work, and rest. It is where your kids, spouse, parents and grandparents come together. The final design and layout of your home have an impact on the energy and well-being of everyone who lives there.

You only get one chance at homebuilding, and thus, only one chance to ensure your home is correctly aligned to Vastu guidelines. By following Vastu principles, you can align your home to support the well-being and prosperity of every family member today and in the future.

Simple Vastu Tips To Bring Home Happiness And Success.

Planning your home’s Vastu layout correctly is key to ensuring that your living space radiates positivity. Here are some practical tips to get it right from the start.

Site selection:

The house's Vastu direction plays a significant role in its positivity. When selecting a plot of land, it is best to adhere to the plot's Vastu and proceed accordingly. Every detail, like site orientation, soil type, and the plot's shape, must be considered. The location of your plot is something you should never compromise on because it cannot be changed later.

Veedhi Shoolas:

Veedhi Shoola refers to situations when the road hits the plot. Some Veedhi Shoolas bring positivity, while others bring negative energy. Those on the north of northeast and east of northeast, are considered beneficial, while the south of southeast and west of northwest are moderate. You can change everything in your home, but not the vastu directions provide a steady, unchanging source of positive energy.

Water Resources:

When considering home Vastu, water resources are another aspect to consider. The northeast is the best direction for tanks, wells, or any other water resources. The northern direction is considered auspicious in homes, and hence, it must be left vacant. The vacant space can accommodate water tanks, which have a positive effect.

Vastu for home entrance:

The main door is the most important aspect of your home’s Vastu. The entrance should always be in the north, east, or northeast direction. It should be constructed from superior-quality wood, ensuring it looks appealing. Avoid placing fountains or water features outside the main entrance, as they can disturb the flow of positive energy.

Living Room:

The living room is where most activities take place in a home and create the first impression of the space. Keep it clutter-free and ensure it faces east, north, or northeast. Heavy furniture should be placed in the west or southwest direction, keeping the room balanced.

Master Bedroom:

Ideally, a bedroom facing south-west ensures good health and prosperity. The bed should be placed in the southwest corner of the bedroom. Avoid placing a mirror or television in front of the bed.

Children’s Room/Guest Room:

A child’s room should be in the northeast direction to ensure positive growth, intelligence, and strength. Placing the bed in the same direction ensures that your child’s life is filled with positive energy.

Kitchen:

The southeast direction for the kitchen is considered to be ideal. Choose bright colours for the walls like yellow, pink, orange, red and black. Make sure to keep the stove in the southeast direction.

Dining room:

It’s best to eat meals facing east, west, or north. Regularly eating meals while facing both can lead to health issues. The dining table should be square or rectangular—avoid irregular shapes.

Pooja Room:

The east or north-east is perfect for a prayer room. Create a sacred altar and decorate it with candles or incense sticks. White, beige, light yellow or green are great wall colour options.

Bathroom/Toilets:

According to Vastu Shastra for home, the wash basin and shower should be in the east, north, or northeast part of the bathroom. The drainage outlet should ideally be in the north, east, or northeast to maintain positive energy flow.

Balconies:

Balconies should be constructed in the north, east, or northeast directions. Avoid balconies in the southwest or south direction, as they may block the flow of good energy.

You only get one chance to build your home, and aligning it with the right Vastu principles is crucial for creating a positive and harmonious environment. Every decision, from the layout to the placement of key elements, plays a role in shaping the energy of your home. By ensuring your home follows Vastu guidelines, you provide a balanced space that nurtures the well-being of every family member, promotes prosperity, and fosters peace for generations to come.
