UltraTech has been ranked amongst the top 10 companies, internationally, on Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) in the 'Construction Material' Industry sector of the S&P Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI).
The score is based on assessment against 25 criteria across three measures of sustainability; which are economic, environment and social. The assessment includes all ESG criteria and shows the company's commitment to sustainability, both in absolute and relative terms, compared to the industry average and the industry's top performing company.
DJSI is an internationally acknowledged indices of companies with exceptional performance in sustainability, which is jointly developed by S&P Dow Jones Indices and RobecoSAM, as the global sustainability benchmark. It tracks the stock performance of the companies in terms of economic, environmental and social criteria. It is selected from over 3,500 companies in financial markets, who are invited to participate in the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA). DJSI applies a transparent, rule-based component selection process based on the companies’ Total Sustainability Scores. All the companies which are DJSI-certified are inclined to provide sustainable returns for investors.
