Mr. K. C. Jhanwar has been the Managing Director of UltraTech Cement Limited since January 1, 2020. A Chartered Accountant by profession, he joined the Aditya Birla Group in 1981 as a Management Trainee in its cement business.

With a distinguished career spanning over four decades across the Aditya Birla Group, Mr. Jhanwar has held senior leadership positions across finance, operations, and general management in the cement and chemicals sectors. He brings strong expertise in large-scale project execution, manufacturing excellence, and commercial strategy, along with extensive experience in mergers, acquisitions, and post‑merger integration.

Prior to his appointment as Chief Manufacturing Officer of UltraTech in 2016, he successfully led the Group’s Viscose Filament Yarn business and the Chlor-Alkali business, driving operational excellence and delivering exceptional growth. Recognised for his strong stakeholder orientation and people leadership, he has played a pivotal role in building resilient organisations, strengthening business franchises, and fostering high‑performance & empowered teams aligned with long‑term value creation.

Mr. E. R. Raj Narayanan

Business Head and Chief Manufacturing Officer

 

Mr. Raj Narayanan is the Business Head and Chief Manufacturing Officer of UltraTech Cement Limited. Before joining UltraTech, he was Group Executive President for Chlor Alkali and the VFY segments of Grasim Industries. During his other stints within the group, he held positions as CEO of insulators & fertilizers and Senior President of Overseas chemical businesses. 

Prior to joining Aditya Birla Group in 2008, Mr. Raj Narayanan worked in leading companies in the chemicals and industrial products space. He served as MD of Linde Gases India Limited, MD of Lanxess India Private Limited, and Country Head of Bayer Chemicals in India.

He was the recipient of Aditya Birla Group Chairman’s outstanding leader award in 2018. He is a chemical engineer by qualification.

Mr Vivek Agrawal

Wholetime Director and Chief Marketing Officer

Mr. Vivek Agrawal is a Whole Time Director and Chief Marketing Officer at UltraTech Cement Limited. Having joined the Aditya Birla Group in 1993, Mr. Agrawal has held several significant leadership roles in the flagship cement company of the Group, including Zonal Head – Grey Cement South, Head Marketing – Birla White and Head – RMC Business. In 2010, he took over as the CEO of the UAE based acquisition, Star Cement Co LLC and led a successful business turnaround. Prior to joining the Group, he worked with Tata Motors.

Mr. Agrawal assumed his current role as the Chief Marketing Officer of the Cement Business in 2013 and was elevated as Business Head in 2020. As the Business Head and Chief Marketing Officer, his role spans   Sales, Marketing, Logistics, Ready Mix Concrete, Building Products Division, UltraTech Building Solutions, and UTEC— a contemporary phygital ecosystem.

With a firm focus on building brands at scale, Mr. Agrawal has led the team through 6 successful post-merger integrations transitioning regional brands into a unified Brand UltraTech as a National Champion. Brand UltraTech has since been ranked as the 7^th most valuable Indian brand by Kantar BrandZ.

Mr. Agrawal has spearheaded Ready Mix Concrete into a market-leading business, incubated the Building Product Division (BPD) into the next growth engine and scaled UltraTech Building Solutions into the largest branded retail chain in the building and construction space.

He is pioneering a Solutions-led, Phygital business model powered by strong customer focus and AI-enabled Digital Transformation, positioning the organisation for the future.

As an Executive Board Member of Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), Mr. Agrawal plays an instrumental role in driving the adoption of Green Building products and practices across the Indian construction ecosystem.

Mr. Agrawal was named an Aditya Birla Fellow in 2017 and was a recipient of the Chairman's Outstanding Leader Award in 2019.

Mr. Agrawal holds a B.E. (Hons.) degree from NIT Allahabad and MBA from FMS, Delhi. He has also attended the Advanced Management Program and is an alumnus of Wharton Business School.

Mr. Atul Daga

Business Head and Chief Financial Officer

 

A Finance Professional with 39 years of work experience and a veteran of the Aditya Birla Group, Mr. Atul Daga is a Chartered Accountant who has served as CFO across multiple Group businesses. His experience spans a diverse range of sectors including cement, retail, aluminium, carbon black, textiles, tyre-cord and viscose fibre.

As Principal Executive Assistant to Mr. Aditya Vikram Birla and Mr. Kumar Mangalam Birla, he imbibed the vision of taking Indian business beyond its geographical boundaries while upholding the humane values and principles espoused by the Group’s founder. Mr. Daga was instrumental in restructuring the Group’s overseas businesses.

Mr. Daga’s career includes Financial Planning, Treasury Management, Business Strategy, Working Capital Management, Risk Management, Information Technology, Audit & Compliance, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Investor Relations. He has been ranked among the top three CFOs in the Building Materials segment in Asia by the Institutional Investor community. Within the Aditya Birla Group, he is the recipient of the Chairman’s Exceptional Contributor Award (2009), the Outstanding Leader Award (2017), and the prestigious Financial Express CFO of the Year Award (2025). His key achievements include leading acquisitions exceeding US$ 5 billion in the cement industry across India and the UAE, and divesting non-core assets outside India. He was instrumental in establishing a state-of-the-art, 700-member shared services centre for the accounting function. He launched the Group’s real estate development business in 2016 and pioneered the issuance of sustainability-linked bonds in 2021 — the first of their kind from India and only the second in Asia.

Mr. Atul Daga is currently the Business Head and CFO of UltraTech Cement Limited. During his tenure, the company has grown from US$ 12 billion in market capitalisation in 2015 to US$ 37 billion in 2026.

Mr. Chandrashekhar Chavan

Chief Human Resources Officer, UltraTech Cement Limited

Mr. Chavan joined the Aditya Birla Group in 1996, and during his tenure of over 28 years, his career trajectory has included multiple roles across diverse businesses and portfolios. These included roles in diverse portfolios of Group HR such as Young Talent Management, Learning & Talent Staffing. He was appointed Head HR for Aluminium Sales & Marketing, Hindalco, where he led the integration of sales and sales accounting teams of Hindalco and Indal. Subsequently, he moved as Head-HR for Birla Sunlife AMC, where he led multiple changes in talent and organisation. Later on, he joined as Head-HR, UltraTech Cement Marketing.

Post his stint at UltraTech, Mr. Chavan was appointed the CHRO for Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd (ABFRL). During his tenure with ABFRL, he crafted and deftly delivered on the people agenda in the context of rapid business growth of existing brands and integration of newly acquired brands. He actively guided the build-up of high-quality talent across the business and built a strong HR team in close partnership with different business leaders. He took on the mantle of CHRO, UltraTech Cement Limited in 2024.

Mr. Chavan has a Master’s in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. He is also the recipient of the prestigious Aditya Birla Group Chairman’s Accomplished Leader Award 2016.

Mr. Ashish Dwivedi

CEO – Birla White

Mr. Ashish Dwivedi is the CEO of Birla White, the White Cement business of UltraTech Cement Limited. He has been with the Aditya Birla Group for over 27 years. He has been an integral part of several strategic initiatives including mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and business reviews in Group Chairman’s Office.

Prior to this current role, he was President of Speciality Chemicals and Business Strategy for Chemical, Fertilizer and Insulator sector of the Group. He built the downstream speciality chemicals business across multiple products. He is a chemical engineer and an MBA.
