20th August, 2026: UltraTech Cement Limited, the world’s largest cement company by capacity and sales volume (excluding China), has announced that it has joined The Leadership Group for Industry Transition (LeadIT) as a member company. The membership was announced on 13th August 2026 at a LeadIT reception with key government and non-government stakeholder groups in New Delhi.
UltraTech joins LeadIT at a pivotal moment for industry transition. The challenge is no longer simply setting ambition, but delivering implementation at scale. This partnership will further enable UltraTech to collaborate with like-minded corporates and other stakeholder groups across sectors and geographies to further accelerate its transition towards net zero emissions.
Speaking about UltraTech joining LeadIT, Mr. E. R. Raj Narayanan, Business Head and Chief Manufacturing Officer, UltraTech Cement Limited said, “Meaningful climate action is achieved when industries come together with a common purpose. UltraTech has a global grey cement installed capacity of 205.5 million tonnes per annum (MTPA). It is India’s largest producer of cement, ready-mix concrete, and white cement.
