UltraTech adopts India’s first unified IMS & EnMS Multisite certification in cement sector

UltraTech Cement Limited, India’s largest cement, ready-mix concrete and white cement company, has adopted a Group Multisite Certification Model through a single certification agency, for Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001), Energy Management System (ISO 50001:2018) and a standalone certificate for Social Accountability (SA 8000).

This first-of-its-kind Integrated Management System and Energy Management System initiative in the Indian cement industry reflects UltraTech’s unwavering commitment to operational excellence, energy efficiency, social responsibility, and sustainable business practices. IMS certification integrates key management systems, enhancing overall efficiency, compliance, and continual improvement across processes. ISO 50001:2018 certification demonstrates the Company’s focus on optimising energy performance, reducing environmental impact and supporting India’s clean energy transition target. The SA 8000 certification highlights the Company’s dedication to ethical business practices, employee welfare and social accountability.
