Rawan Cement Works wins big at 54th CII National Kaizen Competition 2025

Rawan Cement Works, UltraTech’s integrated manufacturing unit in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, has set a new benchmark in operational excellence by clinching three prestigious awards at the 54th CII National Kaizen Competition 2025 in the Breakthrough, Renovation and Innovation categories.

The unit secured the platinum award in the Breakthrough Category for ‘Real-Time Metal Detection in Limestone Dumpers using MagRay Technology’. It also won the Gold Award in the Renovation Category for ‘IoT-Based Slip Ring Condition Monitoring System with Cloud Integration and Local Display’, and the Silver Award in the Innovation Category for ‘ACC Interconnection for Enhanced Condenser Efficiency and Energy Savings’.

Organised by the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), the competition featured five categories: Restorative, Renovative, Innovative, Breakthrough, and IT, with the Rawan unit’s teams being felicitated for their exceptional innovation and problem-solving capabilities. These achievements reflect UltraTech’s strong adoption of the Japanese business philosophy of Kaizen, a continuous improvement of working practices, personal efficiency, etc, and underscore the Company’s commitment to operational excellence and sustainability across its operations.
