UltraTech Cement Limited, India’s largest Cement and Ready-Mix Concrete (RMC) Company, has crossed a cumulative installed capacity of one gigawatt (1000 MW) of renewable energy (RE). UltraTech Cement is among the first companies in India, in the industrial category, to have commissioned 1 Gigawatt of Renewable Energy capacity for captive use.
By March 31, 2025, UltraTech achieved a total renewable energy capacity of 1,021 MW, consisting of solar, wind, and hybrid energy sources. Combined with its 342 MW in Waste Heat Recovery Systems (WHRS), UltraTech’s cumulative green energy capacity has now reached 1,363 MW. This will cater to about 46% of UltraTech’s current power requirements.
UltraTech aims to increase the share of green energy in its total power mix to 65% by 2027 and 85% by 2030. As part of its RE100 commitment, UltraTech aims to meet 100% of its electricity requirement through renewables sources by 2050.
