Distribution of Greenway smart cooking stoves

The CSR team at Awarpur Cement Works distributed Greenway smart cooking stoves to 225 households in the adopted villages through the Ladies Club members. Smart cooking stoves are environment-friendly, help save fuel and produce less smoke.
A tree plantation drive was also organised from Manikgarh square to Savitribai Phule Vidyalaya, Gadchandur, in co-ordination with Awarpur Worker Union and Saraswati Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Gadchandur. The ACW CSR team also organised a HIV/AIDS awareness programme for truck drivers on 21 August 2013, in co-ordination with the NGO ’Janhitay Mandal Sanstha’.
