Birla White’s Kharia Khangar unit in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, has been conferred with the prestigious 'Golden Peacock Occupational Health & Safety Award' 2020. Birla White is honoured to receive this prestigious award as it is the only company from the cement sector to win this award.
The award recognizes the efforts of the unit, that has been working towards improving work methods for Health & Safety, taking measures and setting protocols to enable employees to feel safe and secure, in these difficult times. It further highlights commitment of the team to improve Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) performance & its assurance to reduce workplace injuries and implementation of best OSH practices. Some activities conducted by the team include ‘Training on Wheels’, monthly theme-based safety campaigns, routine safety quizzes, and rewards & recognitions to create awareness among employees about Occupational Safety & Health.
