Upgradation of knowledge is essential to keep pace with the rapidly changing technological landscape and to bring in innovative concepts into construction. To keep civil/structural engineers and architects abreast with the global technological changes/developments and innovative practices in construction, tailor made programmes are organized for them in urban/rural areas. The programmes are designed and delivered by subject matter experts from the industry and academics keeping in mind the knowledge levels of the audience. It also acts as a forum for knowledge sharing by discussing the technical problems faced by them and how similar problems are resolved.
These workshops equip the participants who are practising engineers to proportion various ingredients of concrete to produce economically the concrete of desired strength and durability using locally available materials. The participants are given hands on experience by making them design the concrete mix and produce the concrete accordingly. This gives the confidence to participants on their ability to design concrete mixes of various strengths for different exposure conditions to ensure economy and durability.
This programme is targeted to engineers, channel partners (dealers & retailers), builders and contractors and also masons. This is aimed at giving knowledge on cement manufacturing process i.e., from raw material selection to packing, to the visitors. This helps them understand and appreciate the quality of cement as they see various quality control measures and quality assurance systems which are in place at the plant.
