Through quality education we strive to improve access to learning and livelihood opportunities in our local communities.
Education not only equips with knowledge, but it also empowers everyone to lead a decent life as it leads to a holistic development of an individual. Aligned with SDG 4 – ‘Providing inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities to all’, we run our initiatives that support pre-school education in the form of Balwadis and elementary schools, school education, and also support the community through vocational trainings.
We reached out to 14300 students through our enrollment campaign- Shala Praveshotsav at our units in Bela, Sidhi, Dalla, Aarakanom, Jaffrabad, Khor, Shambhupura, and Kharia. Rural schools were extensively supported in the campaign for enrolment, and in reducing dropout rates of students in schools near our manufacturing units.
Uniforms, books and bags were distributed to 40200 children in the rural areas. Visual educational aids and lab equipment were given to the schools in Awarpur, Hirmi, Kovaya, Tadipatri, Jharsuguda, Jafrabad, Khor, Rawan, Durgapur, Ratnagiri, Sambhupura, Arakkonam and Magdalla.
To promote education for the girl child, our units support the cause of Girl Child education through their engagement with the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidhyalayas (KGBV) – residential schools for girls.
Our talent search programs and Pratibha Protshahan Samaroha drew 1247 students from Reddipalyam, Rawan, Malkhed, Hirmi, Tadipatri, Awarpur and Kovaya.
Career counselling and free coaching classes conducted at Rawan, Kotputli, Hirmi, Tadipatri, Kovaya, Sambhura and Awarpur proved a boon to 35612 students.
Our computer education programmes attracted 3866 participants at Khor, Kharia Khangar, Awarpur and Arakkonam.
