UltraTech has also raised US$ 400 Million sustainability-linked bonds.

Caring for our planet:
UltraTech is committed to driving sustainability across the value chain of its operations. We have five policies around Sustainability. These policies are Sustainability, Energy & Carbon, Water Stewardship, Biodiversity and Human Rights.
UltraTech has joined EP100, a global leadership initiative bringing together a growing group of energy-smart companies. By becoming a member of EP100, UltraTech has committed to double its energy productivity. Improvement of energy performance is one of the critical levers for UltraTech to reduce the carbon intensity of its operation.
We also believe that a circular economy is one of the most efficient tools towards a zero-waste future. We have a thermal substitution rate of 3.1% where we are using waste materials from other industries as fuel in our kilns. UltraTech uses around 18.36% of alternate raw materials such as fly ash, slag, waste gypsum for cement blending.
UltraTech is committed to sustained reduction in its water footprint. It has been certified to be 3.91 times water positive which has been possible due to our efforts such as rainwater harvesting, wastewater recycling, groundwater recharge, pond deepening, check dams etc.
UltraTech has installed 148 MW of Waste Heat Recovery Systems (WHRS) and has taken up a Science Based target of reducing its carbon footprint by 27% by 2032 from 2017 levels.
