The social projects of UltraTech have met with tremendous success. The credit goes not only to UltraTech but also to the participants, whose willingness to learn has inspired UltraTech to continue its work with an even greater zeal. The success and the results assure the company that it is on the right path. In fact, its efforts will inspire many others.
Farmers and members of self help groups are being encouraged to rear cattle, namely goats, sheep and poultry. With low capital, animal husbandry can be started and the additional funds are provided by the Trust.
Increasing the agriculture production by imparting training on proper utilization of manure, fertilizers and pesticides, exposure visits and utilization of latest technology in agriculture are the focus areas of the programme.
With an endeavor towards women empowerment and self-reliance, self-help groups have been formed, trained and linked to economic institutions.
The objective of the project is to improve the skills of rural women / girls to make them income generating members of the family.
To improve the quality of education and reduce the school dropout rate Strategy The Kagina Jan Seva Trust (Rajashree Cement Works) has initiated Child centers for dropout children along with the Akshara Foundation. The Trust with the coordination of the District Adult Literacy Department has organized short term courses that span over 6 months for 100 women at 9 surrounding villages in 10 centers.
The Department of Sarva Shikshana Abhiyan has started Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya by providing residential education facilities with an objective to bring down the dropout rate of the girl child.
Keeping in view all these aspects and difficulties of the surrounding villagers to pursue higher education and with an objective to provide employable skills to the rural youth and help them get direct and indirect employment opportunities,
Our team created an action plan for implementing the project keeping in mind all the associated loop-holes. This was done deploying a strategy wherein the involvement of the village elders, leaders, parents and the Government Machinery was taken into consideration in order to campaign for the project.
We have been on a journey to empower and encourage students over the past 8 years. Till date 34 students who have attended these coaching classes have secured admissions in Navodya School.
