My journey from a Trainee to a Vice President started in 1994.
Being an Instrumentation engineer, I was part of various improvement projects that kept me abreast with latest technologies as well as helped in honing my skills. I also got opportunities to learn Finance, HR and leadership skills through various trainings and group initiatives.
It is a matter of pride to be a part of “Number one” cement business company in India. Getting recognized for the hard work and commitment is the biggest driver. It provides energy and enthusiasm to excel further.
At ABG, the HR policies are employee focused that help create an environment conducive for growth, provide transparency in the day to day working and ensure overall development. Lot of employee engagement activities make lives even more cheerful here.
In the year 2014, my aspiration to be a part of the top management got fast tracked when I got an opportunity from ABG, to be a part of Global Manufacturing Leadership Program (GMLP). This program, identifies, recruits and trains talent for the manufacturing locations, who can spearhead the business in future.
ABG invests huge amount of time and efforts in honing every individual’s knowledge and leadership skills through various accelerated learning Programs (ALP) and provides cross-functional learning in several domains.
What’s more Ultratech keeps our morale high by recognizing and rewarding our efforts, fostering a productive work environment and focusing on the well-being and better work life balance of the employees and their families.
Today as DH- Operations and Maintenance, I can proudly say that at UTCL, we don’t just do our jobs but live each day learning something new.
I started my career with ABG in 2013 as Network modeler with lots of dreams and tons of fear.
All my fears were allayed when I found everyone around me including the Group Leaders, to be approachable for guidance and suggestions. People at ABG are the biggest asset - everyone resonates with the Group's values, believes in growing together and works towards creating a sense of belonging.
The best thing about working in ABG is that it is a sensitive organization that believes in creating safe work place for women by educating them about work place safety through its Sexual Harassment Awareness Initiative- Zero Tolerance. What's commendable is that we are encouraged to share this knowledge and empower other women in the society to create a safe environment for all women.
I feel my career is secure here. I’m so proud to work for UltraTech Cement.
