Cement performance for January 2012

The cement production of UltraTech Cement, the Aditya Birla Group Company, for the month of January 2012 stood at 37.8 lakh mt and 37.2 lakh mt, registering a growth of 11.7 per cent and 11.2 per cent over January 2011 respectively.

Cement production for the period April-January 2012 was marginally up by 2.8% at 322.6 lakh mt as against 313.8 lakh mt during April-January 2011. Cement dispatches increased 2.9 per cent at 322.2 lakh mt in April-January 2012 as against 313.04 lakh mt in the corresponding period last year.
