Cement performance for March 2012

The cement production of UltraTech Cement, the Aditya Birla Group company, for the period April-March 2012 moved up by 3.16 per cent at 396.51 lakh mt as against 384.35 lakh mt during April-March 2011.

Dispatches also moved up by 3.5 per cent at 397.56 lakh mt in April-March 2012 vis-à-vis 384.10 lakh mt in the corresponding period last year.

Cement production for the month of March 2012 is higher by 4.53 per cent at 39.22 lakh mt and dispatches at 40.15 lakh mt by 6.28 per cent over March 2011.
